PAK Suet-sin of YPT
PAK Suet-sin was practically a different person after 1956. What happened? Sin Fung Ming Troupe was formed. The slumbering phoenix woke up. Back-stage, a young lady in her twenties led a team of her seniors by 10 to 20 years in resolute reforms. On-stage, she presented mesmerizing performances, elevating Canto-opera, a popular entertainment, to a celestial level...

A Fading Flower
Tribute to PAK Shuet-sin (1995)
Director: Rex NG
Assistant Director and Photographer: KWAN Pun-leung

If a person left his job, took a long vacation, to fulfill his dream, and produced a short film, in response to a mentor in arts ... Fragrant Death‧A Fading Flower was born like this. Further in retrospect, "we met in dreams" when I first knew of this artist Ms. PAK Suet-sin (1928- ) from her damaged movies and records. That was the first instance when I was inspired by the power of art; thereafter, whenever I reflect upon my life, or make plans for the future, I always rely on this source of inspiration.
